Settling down for a long winter's nap

Warning: Christmas spoiler...Rudie, no peeking!

To me there's nothing cozier than putting on a pair of warm pajamas and curling up in bed to read a good book. Hence the inspiration for my gifts to several of the children on my list this year:

* A handmade pillowcase,
* A pair of PJs,
* And a book.

These are for my niece. I'm keeping fingers crossed that she'll love The Boxcar Children as much as I did when I was her age.

P.S. December is "Holidays at Home" month at Sew, Mama, Sew!. Visit them for more gift compilation and handmade holiday ideas.

I love The Boxcar Children and I never read it until I was an adult! This is a wonderful gift and the pj's look so nice. Did you do the design on the top?

The Boxcar Children was one of my absolute favorites when I was a kid too! I can't imagine that your neice would not love what you've made for her. She is a lucky girl!

I would haved LOVED the personalized pillowcase as a child! What a wonderful gift the set is. I have to admit, I was never exposed to The Boxcar Children as a little girl. I'll have to check it out!

I just sewing three pairs of sleep pants this weekend for this same idea! Three of my nieces and nephews and getting sleep pants and a book for Christmas. It's great to see that someone else had the same idea.
